All Done!!

There is a tradition in the world of radiation oncology that when a patient completes their course of radiation therapy, they ring a bell.  On Wednesday, David completed this course of radiation therapy & rang that bell!  This was his second time taking part in this tradition as he first rang the very same bell in October of 2013 when he completed a course of radiation therapy for his pancreatic tumor.

David ringing the bell on Wednesday, May 25th.

He seems to have tolerated this course of radiation therapy very well overall.  The radiation will continue to be working on the area of the lung treated for the next six weeks, but hopefully he won't run into any issues.  We see David's oncologist on June 2nd & we are hoping he will give us the green light to head to Colorado until whenever he decides the next surveillance CT scan needs to be done (we are hoping that it won't be until the middle of July).  So, we are getting ourselves ready to go to our cabin in Colorado next weekend.

Hope you all are enjoying the Memorial Day weekend!  Much love, Janet
